The night of Huayno It is the concert that dresses up Andean music with an event to be held at the Grand National Theater next Saturday, April 2. With the most outstanding musicians of Peruvian folklore, it seeks to pay tribute to one of the most important artistic expressions of popular culture: the huayno.
This musical genre has a history of more than 500 years of transformations, miscegenation and acculturation, which was born in the Inca Empire, survived the Spanish colonization and maintains its popularity inside and outside the borders.

Night of Huayno Concert: which artists will perform?
The stage of the Grand National Theater will resonate with the most important female and male voices of Andean folklore, representing Ayacucho will be Saywa and Lalo Arroyoand from Apurímac come Nancy Manchego and Adolf Salazar.
They will be accompanied by the musicians María Elena Pacheco on the violin, Felipe Calderon with the guitar and Hernan Philippa on drums, under the direction of teachers Herber Merino and Enderson Herencia.
The Huayno night will also have the cast of dances from the APU Peru Cultural Circle with its director Ulcar Palomino Domínguez.

Night of Huayno concert: what songs will be played?
The repertoire of the Night of the Huayno includes “Linda andahuaylina” by the author and composer Wilfredo Quintana. Also “Cajelo de la esperanza” and “Desolación”, the latter by Walter Humala Lema, and the beautiful tunantada by Edgar Curasma Ramos “Recuerdos de Julcán”, in addition to the inevitable carnivals as the end of the party.
