Toylogic has published theupdate 1.05 (categorized as 1,005 in PS5 version) for Foamstar. This is a minor update, as the patch only deals with adding a new cosmetic element and fixing some bugs.
First of all, Foamstar update 1.05 adds the Slideboard Skin “We Are FOAMSTARS”, a celebration item for the launch. The team writes: “Thank you for joining the Foamstar party! All players will receive a special Slideboard Skin to commemorate the launch. You can see the “We Are FOAMSTARS” slideboard skin in the customization menu.”
As for the bug fixes, the Foamstar team fixed an issue where under some circumstances it was not possible to take control of the rubber duck. Additionally, changes have been made to internal data for the next Season update.

In our review of Foamstar we explained that the Square Enix game – which we remember is available via PS Plus Essential in February – is fun, stylish and colourful, bringing the Splatoon formula to PlayStation. At the same time, however, it doesn't have much content and the map design cannot compete with Nintendo's work. To this we add the exaggerated price of the extra contents. We will have to see how it will continue in the future.
