According to local media, the bus driver did not stop even though he was warned about the rising water level on the river bridge. Authorities said 37 people were rescued from the bus and one passenger was still missing on Tuesday.
A total of 15 people have died in heavy rains in Shanxi Province, where more than 130,000 people have been forced to flee their homes due to the floods.
