AC Milan has secured the services of Fikayo Tomori as expected. The home-grown Chelsea FC will initially be loaned until the end of the season – afterwards the Rossoneri will have a purchase option of 30 million euros, according to Italian media reports.
After the obligations of Mario Mandzukic (without a club) and Soualiho Meite (Torino), Tomori is already the third winter newcomer for the Milanese. In London, the 23-year-old, who joined the Blues at the age of eight, was only the fifth choice in the defense center, which is why Chelsea were ready for a transfer.
At Milan Tomori will be the first substitute for the seeded central defender duo Alessio Romagnoli & Simon Kjaer.
The newcomer will probably be in the squad for tomorrow’s Saturday game against Atalanta Bergamo. Milan has already deposited the 23-year-old’s contract with the league association so that Tomori is eligible to play in good time.
