The father of the suspect of having set fire to the vehicles, who has been arrested, is in serious condition with burns
A neighbor of Molina de Segura was arrested this morning by the National Police after wielding a shotgun and setting fire to seven vehicles on Gran Vía, as confirmed by municipal sources. The fire generated caused the poisoning of five people, including the suspect himself and his parents.
His father is in a serious condition with burns and was transferred to the Virgen de La Arrixaca hospital, as reported by emergency sources. The suspect was taken into custody at the Morales Meseguer Hospital.
The events occurred around 6.15 am on Gran Vía, in the interaction with Pío XII and Sagrado Corazón streets. It was an employee of the municipal cleaning company Sercomosa who gave the alarm to the Local Police when they observed the suspect brandishing the shotgun. Later, the man began to set fire one by one to several vehicles up to a total of seven, of which six have been completely charred.

Three fire crews and six ambulances approached the area, in addition to patrols from the Local Police and the National Police, which has taken on the investigation of the matter. Some sources suggest that the suspect would have shot the shotgun although the Police are now investigating whether it is a real weapon or a compressed air shotgun.
The fire affected a two-story house where the suspect and his parents live. In the search of the home, police sources explained, 22 cartridges were found wet with gasoline and Molotov cocktails.
