Five people were killed in a blast in a boiler at a factory called Manas Agro Industries and Infrastructure in Nagpur, Maharashtra, on Saturday afternoon. Police said that the incident took place around 2:30 pm at the biogas plant located in Bela village of Umred tehsil. The surrounding area was also stirred up after news of the boiler burst. A police officer said the explosion rocked the factory, which is part of the Manas group and was formerly known as Purti Power and Sugar Factory. Its owner has been the family of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari.
Police said that the deceased have been identified as Mangesh Prabhakar Naukarkar (21), Liladhar Vamanrao Shinde (42), Vasudev Ladi (30), Sachin Prakash Waghmare (24) and Prafulla Pandurang Moon (25) and all are residents of Vadgaon. were supposed. Police said Sachin Waghmare worked as a welder while others were working as assistants.
Died on the spot
The police also said that smoke was seen coming out of the blast. Police said all five employees were scorched in the accident and died on the spot. Officials said Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ola visited the scene.
