After a couple of images revealed yesterday, Warner Bros. Picture has shared the first trailer for the sequel to Beetlejuice. As if that were not enough, the official name of this new movie has been confirmed, and you better be careful, since you are one step away from inviting someone unwanted into your home.
The first trailer of Beetlejuice Beetlejuiceas this sequel is known, shows us Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder and Geena Davis, these last actresses reprising their roles from the first film, at a funeral. It's not until the end that we get a good look at Michael Keaton in his Beetlejuice role once again. This is the description of the tape:
“After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return to their home in Winter River. Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia's life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the city in the attic and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble in both realms, it's only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice's name three times and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his own kind of chaos.”
It is expected that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice hits theaters on September 6, 2024, so in the coming months, probably at San Diego Comic Con, a new trailer will arrive that gives us a better look at the story of this sequel. On related topics, you can see the new trailers for the second season of House of the Dragon here.
Editor's Note:
It's ridiculous that Day-o's song has an iconic connotation like Ghostbusters, but this is something Hollywood uses to appeal to people who are nostalgic for the '80s. I hope this is a good sequel, and not just a shower of references and a forgettable story.
