The works committee of Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) has urgently launched a conflict commission after there has been a “unilateral modification” of the working conditions of the different groups and has denounced that this has “violated the current agreements.” This circumstance, he advances, occurs as a “previous step to a strike, which will occur in the coming days.”
As revealed in a statement, after two months of the dana, the company “continues to ignore the body legally stipulated for the modification of these working conditions”, which has meant “the violation of family conciliation by eliminating the possibility of covering this service with volunteer personnel.”
Similarly, the works council has reported the start of an investigation through an internal commission with the participation of the social part and the Health and Safety Committee of the incidents suffered by FGV staff on October 29, day of the dana, and subsequent days, as well as the application of the Self-Protection Plan and emergency plans.
Faced with this situation, the workers’ representation has urged the company to guarantee “the reversal of emergency contracts” and the provision of an extraordinary non-refundable amount for personnel affected by the damage.
Finally, the unions present in the works council (CGT, SEMAF, CCOO, SF, UGT and SIF) have highlighted the “lack of negotiation” and the absence of the calendar of the meetings of the XVI FGV Collective Agreement.
