First MC, now Morena: Dozens injured by falling canvas during a rally in Edomex

Delfina Gómez Álvarez, Governor of Edomex, reported through her ‘X’ account @delfinagomeza that at this time Civil Protection (PC) is already addressing the situation in conjunction with the rest of the state and municipal agencies.

Notably PC warned yesterday, Saturday, May 25, about strong winds who were about to appear in the state.

“In the presence of strong winds, your safety and that of your family comes first, that is why we share some tips to protect yourself and your loved ones,” published on the ‘X’ account @pciviledomex.

What the candidate said

Until the time of writing this text, Alfredo González has not given statements in person, however, his team released a statement addressed to the press and society in general to report what happened.

“There were no serious injuries, only minor injuries and some people had nervous breakdowns, but thanks to the quick and efficient response of the Civil Protection elements, all those affected received immediate and adequate medical attention,” the text reads.

The information added that the Moreno candidate’s team implemented the necessary security measures for the event, however unexpected weather conditions caused the accident.

“We deeply appreciate the understanding and support of all attendees, who showed calm and sincerity above all,” he said.
