In it Zelenska bluntly calls the Russian invasion ‘a mass murder of Ukrainian civilians’. Earlier, the first lady, who has gone into hiding as an important Russian target somewhere near Kiev, has praised all the courageous Ukrainian women in the bombed cities on Instagram and swears in belligerent words that her country will never capitulate. “We are the army, we are the army, and children born in bomb shelters will one day live again in that peaceful land they defended themselves.”
