A washing machine caught fire in the Rescue Army’s housing service unit.
Helsinki A fire broke out in the Salvation Army’s housing service unit in Kallio on Saturday night. The Rescue Department received notice of the fire at about half past nine in the evening.
Firefighter Samuli Saarioisen according to, the washing machine in an apartment building on Alppikatu caught fire.
The fire has been extinguished and no injuries are known. The premises are still ventilated.
Seven units arrived at the site for firefighting, but not all are present.
The situation should not be to the detriment of traffic.
