A car burning near a terraced house caused an alarm in Vantaa.
I’m on fire a car that broke out caused a bigger alarm in Vantaa on Sunday.
The Central Uusimaa Rescue Department received an alarm on a car burning on Kankurintie at about noon. Six units were sent to the scene.
“Because the car burned in the yard so close to the townhouse, it caused such a bigger start,” says the firefighter on duty Tommi Leppioja.
When the rescue service arrived on the scene, the resident there had almost completely extinguished the fire with an initial fire extinguisher.
“In the end, all we had left was a backup task and we looked at the end of that fire.”
The reason for the car’s ignition is still unclear.
