In Helsinki In Pitäjänmäki, a fire broke out on Jännetie on Tuesday night, destroying an apartment building as uninhabitable. The fire alarm came on Tuesday at about 9.15pm.

Firefighter from the Helsinki Rescue Department Petri Strandberg says a fire broke out in an apartment building in one of the bedrooms.

“The apartment suffered so much smoke and water damage that the apartment is uninhabitable,” Strandberg says.

“The positive thing is that all the people were able to leave the apartment,” he continues.

No one was injured in the fire. The apartment was inhabited by a family of five.
