The body of a victim was located 942 days, two years and seven months after the rupture of the dam in Brumadinho (MG). According to the Fire Department, the remains appear to be a man, but the identity of the victim will still be confirmed by the expertise of the Civil Police.

The tragedy left 270 dead in the region, with 10 people still missing. Firefighters have been carrying out searches since the dam broke, on January 25, 2019. Work was interrupted in March of last year, due to the pandemic, and resumed in May this year.
The body was found in a place known as Remanso 1, near the community of Córrego do Feijão. The body has already been delivered for identification and, according to firefighters, should reduce the number of missing victims.
