Just after three minutes, Fire Master took the lead on the scoreboard, with a free kick executed by Efrén Casillas, where the ball covered the goalkeeper and reached the far post Cayetano Benítez, to finish off with a header and sign the first.
After the goal against Náutica, they did not give up in their quest to win the match and had a quick reward.
At 17′, Carlos Maldonado equalized on a free kick. he hit him from the inside with his right leg and the ball went around the barrier on one side to move the nets.
The cadets followed with an offensive proposal and 2-1 came after 25 minutes, when Diego Medina hit the ball with a tube and this with dry effect beat a trained Roy Ureña hitting the post, in order to seal the goal that gave them the partial advantage.
Fire Master did not stop trying, despite going down on the scoreboard, although Náutica had a lot of order to keep their goal well guarded.
Arturo Mendiola, Efrén Casillas and Jesús Félix got together to finish plays on the rival frame, with more drive than clarity.
At the end of the first half, a reckless play inside the area would cost the cadets a penalty against, the same as from the eleven steps Fire Master changed for 2-2, with payment from Mendiola.
The second half continued with the same style of play, both teams with a backwards order and trying to get off the offensive with dynamics, but in the end the ‘firefighters’ were more successful in finding the goal that gave them the victory.
It was Ramon “Monchi” Mellado the man who scored the difference, with a great goal.
The Walamo player entered the area after taking off two rivals with a good change of pace and defined close to second post to score the winning goal for his team, at 58′.
Náutica tried it towards the end, Fire Master had to finish the game with 10 men after Luis Santos’s red card, but despite the attempts of the cadet team, the three points remained on the side of the ‘fire extinguishers’.
