Waste treatment plant A fire broke out at the electricity main center on Pitkäsuontie in Vantaa on Thursday night after eight o’clock. No one was injured in the fire. The waste treatment plant is located in the armpit of Porvoonväylä and Ring Road III between Hakunila and Länsimäki.
Employees on duty in the evening noticed that the 20-30-square-foot power center was emitting smoke and reported it to the emergency center. The fire was extinguished, but the Power Center and one production line are out of service due to the fire. Otherwise, the operation of the waste treatment plant may continue as normal. Smoke entering the hall was ventilated.
The fire was extinguished by units of the Central Uusimaa and Helsinki Rescue Services.
