Nousiainen, 42, who had escaped police for more than a year and a half, decided to stop hiding when Helsingin Sanomat found him last weekend in the deserted Verbier ski resort in the Swiss Alps. Nousiainen performed with a Finnish-Estonian false identity and used the name Tommy Koski.

Perttu Nousiainen decided to stop the escape when his whereabouts were revealed.

In Zurich Nousiainen gave HS a long interview on Wednesday. Nousiainen explained in detail what he has done since he disappeared in Tallinn in March 2020. The interview will be published in the coming days.

Nousiainen and his lawyer Kari Uoti were already in contact with the Finnish police from the beginning of the week, who have been looking for him for a year and a half.
