The forecasts for the rest of the month are unanimous – when it comes to the weather, Germans must now hope for May.
Berlin – If you think it’s almost May, you’re right. Anyone who thinks that the warmth should now come with all its might is hard to contradict. But spring is only tentatively coming.
The temperatures in Germany have been rising slowly since the beginning of the week. It could be loud on Wednesday German Weather Service (DWD) even 19 degrees. “The 20-degree mark is finally getting closer, but higher temperatures are not to be expected,” said a DWD meteorologist dpa.
Weather in Germany: “It’s getting more volatile again”
This is currently the case in general. “The temperature trend is unlikely to continue after the middle of the week,” he said. There is a high probability that the temperatures “tended to drop again a little, and it will also become more volatile”.
Also the authors of the portal wetteronline.de don’t want to be too optimistic. Despite the warmer air – they don’t believe in “pure spring” in their 14-day forecast. The reason: According to their forecast, colder air will flow from the north into the interior of the country on Thursday. The result: temperatures only in the single-digit range, and rain in some places.
No April spring in prospect: High “Renate” prevents him
However, they give a positive outlook. The weekend should be warmer again, in the southwest and south with temperatures of more than 15 degrees, on the Upper Rhine even up to 20 degrees. It is only cooler in the northeast half and on the coasts of Germany, they write. Even afterwards, there is no pure spring weather with sun from morning to night in sight. The temperatures will probably remain subdued for the end of April.
The Weather Channel knows to report who is responsible for it: “Renate”. The high pressure area ensures that the inflow of cold air from Scandinavia continues. The meteorologists of this portal are also sure: After the spring-like interlude at the weekend, the cold April continues. (frs with material from dpa)
