Final Fantasy XIV is having one of its best moments ever. Square Enix’s MMORPG broke its record for contemporary players on Steam last week… Even though most have logged in to follow poor Twitch streamer Asmongold wherever he went, there’s no denying that 47,542 players were logged into the servers at the same time (plus the previous record was also from June).
The game matters at the moment more than 22 million accounts registered and its popularity is literally skyrocketing, so much so that it creates quite unique problems. Some users (Reddit), trying to buy Final Fantasy XIV Complete Edition on the Square Enix Store they found themselves in front of an unprecedented warning: apparently the game is “out of stock”…
Since it is virtually impossible to finish alphanumeric codes, the only alternative with meaning seems to be that of a “handbrake” triggered by Square Enix itself to avoid congestion problems on servers. However, this brake would only be temporary: there is already a waiting list to get into the game.
So be patient, newcomers, surely Square will let you start the adventure earlier Endwalker’s arrival this November (much sooner, hopefully), and the next expansion will prove to be the biggest in its history in every sense! If you need travel companions, you know where to find them (on our Facebook group)!
