SQUARE ENIX has released a lot of information about the future of FINAL FANTASY XIVhighly acclaimed MMORPG for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 And PC.
During the last episode of Letter from the Producer LIVE the director Naoki Yoshida revealed that the software house is working on a notable graphic improvement for the game that will be released in conjunction with the next expansion. The improvements will concern both the characters and the game world, with higher quality textures and changes to the light and shadow system. This will also mean a change to the minimum requirements for the PC version of the game, while support for the PlayStation 4 version will continue.
Yoshi-P then unveiled plans for the near future, including the expansion of the Trust system starting from patch 6.1 thus allowing players to venture into the story dungeons of “A Realm Reborn”Even in the company of an AI-led party. This is an expansion that will continue over time, the software house in fact aims at make every dungeon in the MMORPG playable even alone.
Last but not least, the director has announced that he will be leaving from tomorrow 22 February the registrations for the Free Trial of the game will be reopened. The trial version includes all the contents of “A Realm Reborn“And the expansion”HEAVENSWARD”Thus allowing new players to enjoy hundreds of hours of content.

FINAL FANTASY XIV ONLINE ANNOUNCES ITS FUTURE PLANS, INCLUDING GRAPHIC UPDATES, MORE SOLO GAME SUPPORT AND ACTION PLAN FOR NEW CONTENT
Future plans were discussed during the last broadcast, while registrations for the free trial will reopen tomorrow
LONDON (February 21, 2022) – SQUARE ENIX® has shared its plans to continue supporting the acclaimed MMORPG FINAL FANTASY® XIV Online for the next 10 years, as well as announcing some of the future content planned for players.
During the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, producer and director Naoki Yoshida talked about a series of additions to FINAL FANTASY XIV Online that aim to help the game evolve even further into an online RPG experience for both players to enjoy. solo and in company, as well as long-term goals, such as graphic improvements.
Starting with the next patch 6.1, it was announced that the Trust system will be expanding, which currently allows players to take on certain main story dungeons with a team of NPCs as allies. This feature allows players to enjoy the story at their own pace, without the need to search for a team of other players. In patch 6.1, due out in April, the Trust system will be included for all A Realm Reborn ™ main story dungeons, and more will be added later.
In addition, to support new players and those who prefer a solo experience, some low-level dungeons and trials of the main story will be modified to take advantage of an accessible solo experience.
Looking ahead, Yoshida also confirmed that work is underway on the title’s first graphic update. The first improvements will be included in the next expansion, and more will come later. Improvements are planned for both character and world graphics, and will include elements such as higher resolution textures, higher quality materials, and enhancements in lighting and shadow effects.

Finally, an action plan was also announced for new content scheduled for future patches. This is not a complete list, and there will be more content to be announced soon. The FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Free Trial will reopen registration for new users starting tomorrow, February 22, following the suspension that helped combat server congestion following the release of Endwalker. The expanded free trial includes all content from A Realm Reborn through to the Heavensward expansion (and updates up to Patch 3.56), as well as an additional playable race (the Au Ra) and three additional playable professions (the Dark Knight, the Astrologian and the Machinist). With the free trial, you can enjoy hundreds of hours of gameplay and the equivalent of two full FINAL FANTASY games with no time limits.
