From the chaos resulting from the revelations about the identity of the alleged leaker Midori, a sort of confirmation also emerged of one of the rumors he had been the protagonist of, namely that Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster (or Remake) seems to really existthis time coming from a source that can be considered quite reliable being Jason Schreier, well-known Bloomberg journalist.
Although it is still a rumor, the fact that Schreier has exposed himself in such a clear manner gives rise to hope for its veracity, considering that the character in question is not usually someone who spouts information at random and has demonstrated that he has solid connections in the the video game industry.
The question is curious because it starts precisely from the sensational revelation on the identity of the alleged leaker Midori, who turned out to be an alternative account of another person, moreover a male and not a Japanese girl as she pretended to be, and probably without even all the connections it seemed to have.
A certainty could emerge from the Midori affair
In the cascade of doubts and denials following this revelation, which affected the many statements that Midori had made in recent days, Final Fantasy Tactics Remaster also ended up there, suddenly becoming far-fetched.
However, this was answered directly by Jason Schreier, “saving” the rumor so to speak from being thrown away without appeal.
“Hi. The remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics is real and developing“, Schreier said simply, with his official account verified, in a Reddit thread questioning the matter after the Midori affair.
Curiously, Schreier also demonstrated that he was a fan of the game by adding, to those who said he was surprised by this intervention, “Don’t blame me, blame yourself, or God”, thus quoting a famous dialogue between Delita and Agrias at the beginning of the story.
There has been talk of a return of Final Fantasy Tactics for years and recently it has been a sort of roller coaster of emotions first with the possible openings of Yasumi Matsuno, then with a subsequent (alleged) closure, then with this new update on the matter.
