New interviews dedicated to Final Fantasy 16 are in circulation and in particular we now have the opportunity to discover some new details on the action RPG thanks to an interview published by the Japanese site 4Gamer. Final Fantasy 16 will have a New Game + mode and various difficulty levels.
The information was shared by Hiroshi Takai – director of Final Fantasy 16 – and translated from Japanese to English by Twitter user @Genki_JPN. According to reports, this New Game + mode will allow you to play the action JRPG again while retaining all your gear, skills, levels and having access to even stronger enemies.
This is a very interesting novelty that takes inspiration from the most modern action RPGs and in a way it demonstrates how Final Fantasy 16 moves away from the classic JRPG (if by any chance there were still doubts about it).
As for the difficulty levels of Final Fantasy 16, the development team has created – as we already knew in part – a “Story” mode that will help players less used to action games and as indicated should activate combos and special moves automatically. Then there will be an “Action” difficulty that won’t be too easy but it won’t be particularly complex and finally a mode for more experienced players, on which, however, there are no specific details.
The idea therefore is that Final Fantasy 16 should offer difficulty levels suitable for every type of player: we will have to wait to be able to try it firsthand to understand how difficult the game actually is. In other interviews, it was also revealed that the game will have many side stories that will explore lore and characters.
