When Dani (Natalia de Molina) is involved in a plot of police corruption during an eviction, she realizes that her only help is Nasha, the illegal immigrant she has just kicked out of her home.
After filming ‘Your son’, a film starring José Coronado, and the television series ‘Vis a Vis’, which has become an international phenomenon, director Miguel Ángel Vivas has just finished his next film, ‘Asedio’, the story of a woman who wants to survive in an environment of men, for which she has to be more of a man than others, submerged in an unknown underworld in which the abandonment of the State has created a parallel reality, outside the law.
The film stars Natalia de Molina, very well accompanied by Bella Agossou, newcomer Oscar Eribo, Francisco Reyes, Fran Cantos, Chani Martin, Jorge Kent, Efraín Rodríguez, Lucas Nabor, Federico Pérez Rey, Luis Hacha, Fernando Valdivielso, Karlos Aurrekoetxea and Alejandro Casaseca, and explores the problems of the years of economic crises – the previous one, the current one and those to come – through the point of view of a riot police officer who is about to be evicted.
When Dani (Natalia de Molina) is involved in a police corruption plot in an eviction, she realizes that her only help is Nasha, the illegal immigrant she has just kicked out of home, and her son Little. Both women must join forces at the same time to alleviate their differences by facing a corrupt system while they are besieged in the building that the police have come to evict. Dani runs into a whole pasture that could pay off her bank debt. The money belongs to the relocation mafia, which exploits poor immigrants. What Dani does not expect is to discover that his own colleagues, riot control agents, have orchestrated this operation to distribute the loot. Thus, while trying to survive, you must rethink who you are and who you would like to be.
This plot is based on an original idea by Miguel Ángel Vivas and José Rodrigo and inspired by real events, Marta Medina (screenwriter and film critic) is in charge of the script. Vivas has commented: «Along with ‘Your Son’, this is the most personal story I have done to date. It is an emotional action film that serves as a trigger to rethink who we are and how we really want to be, as people and as a social community. It is a fast-paced and humanistic film that talks about being part of the solution to make a better world. For Vivas “there are two types of tragedies, the Greek and the Shakespearean. If the second speaks of the tragic through the decisions of the protagonists, the Greek tells us that decisions do not matter, your end is decided from the moment you are born. For producer Enrique López Lavigne, the film “is an action thriller with a deep social nature directed by Miguel Ángel Vivas that takes us to a guerrilla scene in front of and behind the cameras.”
The film, whose filming began on October 11, and ended on November 19 in Madrid, is a production by Enrique López Lavigne for Apache Films with the participation of RTVE and Prime Video, in association with Sony Pictures International Productions and co-produced by Mexico City Project (Mexico), whose premiere in cinemas throughout Spain is scheduled for next year 2022 by Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia. After passing through theaters, the film will be available on Prime Video.
