Interesting the English rankings this week, with four unreleased games in the top 10. Not the first in the standings, however, which remains FIFA 22 like last week, despite the release of Far Cry 6, immediately in second position, and Metroid Dread, which debuted in third. For Metroid, this is the best debut for the series in the UK, as previously reported.
It should be emphasized that sales of FIFA 22 fell by 58% compared to last week (for FIFA 21 the decline in the second week was 65%). However, the sales of the boxed version are overall lower than those of FIFA 21, recording a decrease of 32%. Of course, the digital market can now amply compensate for this data, so the game isn’t necessarily going any worse.
Far Cry 6 of its own sold 70% less than what Far Cry 5, launched in March 2018, sold. 47% of sales were recorded on PS5, 24% on PS4 and 29% on Xbox. Again, the digital marketplace may have amply compensated for lost store sales.
Also interesting is the result of Alan Wake Remastered, which debuted in fifth position, recording 63% of sales on PS5, 21% on PS4 and the remaining 17% on Xbox. Consider that this is the first time that the game arrives on the PlayStation console, while on the Xbox the 360 version is playable in backward compatibility on the new platforms.
