Fiat's growth on the market continues. The Italian brand closed the month of February 2024 with 22,238 units sold, equal to 13.4% of the shares but above all a growth of 16% compared to the same period last year. The Turin brand thus recorded its best performance in the last 12 months, driven above all by sales of the Fiat Panda.
Fiat Panda leads the brand
The city car confirms itself as the best seller on the Italian market thanks to its Hybrid version. On the occasion of the presentation of the Pandina, which effectively changes the name of the current generation by renewing it in terms of technological features, the CEO of the Italian brand Olivier Francois also announced the increase in production by 20% for this model which will serve precisely to satisfy the great demand. The current Panda will thus remain on the lines of Pomigliano d'Arco until at least 2027. Alongside the Panda Hybrid there is the 500 Hybrid which contributes to 65% of market share in the A segment for Fiat.
The 500e and commercial vehicles
In February the 500e confirmed its lead in the ranking of 100% electric city cars with a 45% share, recording double the number of registrations compared to those following it in the ranking and placing itself in fourth place in the overall ranking of the best-selling EVs in Italy with 245 units sold behind the Tesla Model Y and 3 and the Volkswagen ID.3. The commercial performance of the 500X was also good, recording almost 3,000 registrations in the fierce B-SUV segment. In the commercial vehicle market, FIAT Professional was the brand that achieved the best performance in Italy with a share of 26.2%. up by 0.3 percentage points compared to the same month in 2023.
