After 37 years, Fiat said goodbye to the Uno model, this Monday (20), with the announcement of the production of a special limited series of 250 units in honor of the iconic model of the Brazilian automotive industry.
Uno Ciao costs R$ 85,000 and has an exclusive configuration. The special series is numbered with an emblem that identifies the car’s unit. All units are painted exclusively Silverstone Gray, with black painted roof, exterior mirrors and rear spoiler.
The doors have handles in the color of the vehicle and a side sticker with the name Uno Ciao accompanied by the phrase “LA STORIA DI UNA LEGGENDA” — “the story of a legend” in Italian.
The look is complemented by 14-inch dark alloy wheels and the UNO logo in the colors of Italy to the left of the trunk lid.

Inside, Uno Ciao has a darkened pattern and a bicolor finish in light tones on the doors and in the central strip that crosses the dashboard.
“The word Ciao, in Italian, is a greeting with two meanings: it can be used both to greet someone and to say goodbye. For this reason, Fiat understood that there was no better way to name the Fiat Uno’s special farewell series,” says a press release from the brand.
The Fiat Uno has been manufactured continuously since August 1984 at the Polo Automotivo de Betim (MG) and accumulates 4,379,356 units produced.
“Over its 37 years in the market, Uno has become an icon and has marked the lives of millions of Brazilians. For everything he represents for the brand and for the history of the automotive industry, his farewell would have to be up to par, but in a celebratory mood. The Uno was Fiat’s best-selling vehicle in South America, in addition to having been a pioneer in many aspects throughout its trajectory. It is precisely this vocation for innovation and modernity that we will keep alive in the current and future range of Fiat, without a doubt, we will honor the legacy of this icon. That’s why we don’t say ‘Goodbye’, but ‘Ciao’”, said in a statement, Herlander Zola, director of Brand Fiat South America and Commercial Operations Brazil.
