Users of the Caixa Tem application can check the balance of the Employee Severance Indemnity Fund (FGTS) and issue an account statement on their cell phone. The benefit is valid for all workers with a formal contract, who receive 8% of their monthly remuneration.
The FGTS works as an emergency financial reserve and can be withdrawn in some cases: retirement, serious illness, dismissal without just cause, upon reaching 70 years of age, termination of employment contract, death of the worker, serious illnesses such as AIDS and cancer or internship terminal, public calamity, home purchase and birthday.

For example: those who have R$ 300 in the FGTS can withdraw 50% of the amount (R$ 150) – in this case there is no additional installment. Look:

Up to BRL 500 | 50% of the balance | no additional |
From BRL 500.01 | 40% of the balance | BRL 50 |
