As Square Enix prepares to launch Endwalker, the next expansion of Final Fantasy XIV, many are still wondering if this MMORPG will ever come to Xbox. Currently this title is only available on PC, PS4 and PS5. Although at the moment there is nothing official, Naoki Yoshida, producer of this title, assures that the talks with Microsoft are on the right track.
In a recent interview with Easy Allies, Yoshida was questioned about the possibility of seeing Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox consoles. Although the producer did not confirm or deny if this will be a reality, he did mention that discussions about it with Microsoft are ongoing, and in a positive tone. This ensures that you will have more information at a later date.
Whereas Yoshida and Square Enix focus is on launching Endwalker, probably the latest high-level expansion for FFXIV, we’re likely to hear more about it later this year. However, considering that this MMORPG has been on the market for more than a decade, it would not be a big surprise if at the end of the day these plans are not carried out.
In related topics, the Xbox Series X | S already exceeds 100,000 units in Japan. In the same way, here you can check our gameplay of the remake of Final fantasy iii.
Editor’s Note:
You have to accept the possibility that Final Fantasy XIV it may never make it to Xbox. Although this would be a disappointment, Square Enix has bypassed Microsoft’s consoles in recent years with several of its more Japanese releases and re-releases bypassing this platform altogether. In this way, it is very likely that the most popular MMORPG of the moment will remain as a console exclusive for PlayStation.
