One of the organizers of Sideways Johannes Kinnunen says that the information about the cancellation came on Thursday afternoon, shortly before the start of the festival.
The artist had already arrived in Helsinki, but on the spot it turned out that he had lost his voice and had to stop singing on doctor’s orders.
“As soon as we found out, we put out all our nets. Fortunately, we were able to get a replacement quickly,” says Kinnunen.
