The 30th anniversary of the Ferrari Challenge will be celebrated in Imola in the 2022 Finali Mondiali scheduled for 25-31 October.
The ‘Enzo e Dino Ferrari’ track will host all the protagonists of the Prancing Horse single-make store for a week and more, as we will also be able to see the brand new Le Mans Hypercar and the 296 GT3 live.
The championship reserved for Maranello customers cuts a very important milestone since 1993 when it opened its doors with the 348, followed by the F355, 360, F430 and 458 models in two versions (base and EVO).
Since 2017 there has been the 488, probably the most successful and winning model in the GT history of the Emilian manufacturer, which from 2020 also had an EVO package to continue life on the track.
But the Ferrari Challenge does not stop and follows hand in hand, or almost, the new chapters of history that in Maranello will try to write in the categories of covered wheels.

So the Challenge version of the 296 will also arrive shortly, currently seen in the GT3 version that will debut next year in the main competitions of the category, but which will soon be available to single-brand customers as well.
“At the 24h of Spa-Francorchamps we presented the 296 GT3 and at the Finali Mondiali in Imola for the first time we will bring it into action in front of the Italian fans and on the track, since it will be exhibited in the paddock and will perform on Sunday”, he stated Antonello Coletta, head of Ferrari’s GT Sports Activities, answering the question from Motorsport.com.
“The Challenge model of this car is not yet planned for 2023, so we will continue with the one we currently have, but the 296 will certainly arrive in the future because it is the natural heir to the 488”.
