First a stolen photo, then finally an official image. There Ferrari Thoroughbred showed itself in the dim light in the first teaser released by the Maranello car manufacturer which further fueled discussions around the future SUV of the Cavallino, a model that will allow the Italian brand to debut in a new segment. Waiting for the official debut that will take place later this year, celebrating the 75 years of the brand’s history in the best possible way, speculations and renderings continue that try to anticipate the appearance and forms of the Purosangue.
The latest was SRK Designs which he posted on YouTube a video in which he substantially highlighted the front of the Prancing Horse’s first SUV, highlighting a muscular bonnet and a particularly expressive front mask, with the optical signature that brings out the grit and sporty soul of this model. The thin LEDs and the aerodynamic evolution of the grille show some elements in common with the latest models presented by the Maranello car manufacturer, including the 296 GTB and above all the SF90 Stradale and the Ferrari Roma. In fact, various details have been drawn from the latter, as evidenced by the spy photos released in the past months. Beyond the design, however, one of the biggest unknowns is linked to the range of engines that the Cavallino will choose for Purosangue: what is certain is that the brand has opted for different engines, with various splits that allow it to give various options to customers.
There has been a lot of talk about the possibility of having a V12 that it could continue the tradition of the twelve-cylinder, thus winking at the purists who could hardly digest Ferrari’s entry into the SUV segment. The choice is likely to be confirmed and an electrified V6 will be offered alongside this engine, evolving the architecture recently presented on the aforementioned 296 GTB. In this sense it would be a plug-in hybrid with a high-voltage battery that could have a higher capacity to ensure greater autonomy. As for the price, however, Ferrari Purosangue could have a price list close to 300,000 euros.
