The exit of the scene Ferrari GTC4Lusso has in fact created a void in the Prancing Horse range, opening the doors to the arrival of the first SUV from Maranello which should make its debut as early as 2022. The Ferrari Purosangue will be placed right in the space left empty by the 2 + 2, introducing the house car from Modena in a completely new segment. However, there are those who wanted to give a new life to GTC4Lusso, with the Grand Edition, a one-off resulting from a coach-built project that has its roots in a path that began over 4 years ago. This is Kahn Design, with the creative Afzal Khan who revisited the Cavallino car starting from the front.
A version with a more modern style and a clear homage to the 2 + 2 of the Italian brand, with the main differences being visible in particular at the front, with new panels and the addition of two circular headlights on the grille. Just behind the front wheel arches there are some new air vents, with some innovations also as regards the grille and the front splitter which has now become more pronounced. In his creation, Khan would have been inspired by the Ferrari Monza SP2 and the 1957 250 Testa Rossa, from which he took some of these modifications. The livery is finished in an elegant blue, with some white graphics and yellow brake calipers that pop out behind the 20 “front and 21” rear Diamond Cut rims, worn by Continental ContiSportContact 5 P 255 / 35R20 front and 315 / 30R21 rear.
There are no indications of any changes to the powertrain, with the Ferrari GTC4Lusso Grand Edition expected to keep the 6.3-liter naturally aspirated V12 producing 690hp and 697Nm of torque, all combined with all-wheel drive and dual-clutch gearbox. seven gears that allows acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 335 km / h. Khan Design has not revealed the price of this one-off but the craftsmanship of the door panels and other components suggests that the cost is really high.
