In home Mercedesevidently, those who may be the most dangerous rivals for the 2022 season have already ‘baptized’ them. The Brackley team had attracted the attention of the social network world when, during the presentation of the new Red Bull RB18 – which turned out to be a simple show car painted in the colors of the traditional Milton Keynes livery – it had published an ironic ‘meme’ in which he defined himself “Interesting” the event organized by the Austrian team. It seemed that this was, on the part of Mercedes, yet another post-Abu Dhabi skirmish against bitter rivals, complete with ‘teasing’ for the not particularly ‘authentic’ presentation. In reality, however, the parts of Brackley have repeated the exact same dynamic at the time of presentation of the new Ferrari.
The F1-75 of Maranello, which is not a show car at all, but the car with which the Cavallino will take to the track since the Barcelona tests, was in fact welcomed by the same post, complete with a comment published this time in Italian: “Interesting”. A prick that however could also represent a certificate of esteem by Mercedes, which seems to have already identified Red Bull and Ferrari as the two main rivals of the new season. It will be curious to see if one of the two teams teased by the eight-time constructor champion team will respond. In fact, tomorrow it will be up to Mercedes to unveil its new W13 to the public. In the comments someone also pointed out this observation, sending a suggestion to the reigning world champions: “Tomorrow you better present the most beautiful car ever, or these tweets will all come back against you” the warning, greeted with a worried emoticon by the Anglo-German team itself.
