Only 599 copies, all already sold, each for 2 million euros. Frightening numbers for the new Ferrari Daytona SP3, which the Maranello car manufacturer wanted to bring to light inspired by the 330 P4 which in 1967 triumphed both in Monza and precisely in Daytona. This is the latest creation of the Icona del Prancing Horse project, which began in 2018 with the launch of SP1 and SP2 Monza. We are talking about a model that stands out not only for its defined design “A work of art“, But also for the record performance guaranteed by its V12 hidden under the hood.
We are faced with an engine capable of delivering up to 840 hp, a specification that allows it to boast of being the most powerful engine in the history of Maranello. Thanks to this V12, the new Ferrari Daytona SP3 is able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.85 seconds and reach 200 km / h in 7.4 seconds, to reach a peak of 340 km / h. h. Those who wanted to enjoy the thrill of this 840 HP V12 had to pay 2 million euros as mentioned: Corriere della Sera on newsstands today remembers how deliveries will begin at the end of 2022, to be completed between 2023 and 2024.
But the new Daytona SP3 is not just about performance: it is also yours that steals the show charming design. And who better than Flavio Manzoni, head of Ferrari’s design center, could describe it: “The design takes its cue from the past. We could define it as a Ferrari that blinks so much it is attractive. An art object with sporty track architecture and great aesthetic impact, with voluptuous fenders, compact cabin, almost dramatic waisted shapes. The rear is monolithic, as if to create the volume effect. The interior is compact and enveloping, in pure Ferrari style. The seat, an electric blue cloth combined with the typical red of the 1960s racing prototypes, is glued to the car. The pedal set is flexible. The 13 ”display and dashboard offer an open view and greater driving involvement. Designing a Ferrari is always very difficult, but for the Daytona SP3 we had the opportunity to think in reverse, starting from the design. A challenge that has led us to overcome the very concept of an exclusive car ”.
