The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóohas proposed tax reductions on the purchase of the first home and deductions in Personal income tax of young people who dedicate part of the salary from their first job to housing.
Feijóo has moderated this Sunday a New Generations event, in which the president of this youth organization of the PPBea Fanjul, the businessman, Álvaro López-Palacios, the social entrepreneur, David Rodríguez, from the Pegasus Foundation, and the lawyer Eva Martínez Merino.
In addition to denouncing the controversies surrounding the Government of Pedro Sanchezdue to corruption and complaints of sexist violence against Íñigo ErrejónFeijóo has advocated breaking the “resignation regime” which, in his opinion, the Executive wants to impose.
“Young people live in a perfect storm of job insecurity, impossible prices and an ineffective Government and yet they allow themselves to be the standard bearers of the youth. Do you know what that is called? Hypocrisy”, he pointed out. Feijóo has said that his party is working on a battery of housing measures aimed specifically at young people and has rejected that young people can only be owners if they inherit a property.
“Living in your home is a legitimate aspiration, we want you to be able plan your life“said the leader of the PP, who has also argued that buying is not a retrograde issue, but rather involves taking risks and often asking for a loan.
Feijóo has received several questions from the CEO of the Pegasus Foundation, who among other things has warned that also in the PP there may be cases of people who commit sexist violence, because it is not a question of “colors”, and has questioned the leader of the PP about why it is not possible for PP and PSOE to govern together.
The leader of the PP has replied that it is impossible to reach an agreement with a person whose only ambition is to be president of the Government “no matter what” and that for this it is willing to buy whatever is necessary.
