The Abu Dhabi Center for Public Health announced the joining of The expert in infectious diseases, the Executive Director of the Infectious Diseases Sector at the Abu Dhabi Center for Public Health, and the official spokesperson for the health sector in the country, Dr. Farida Al Hosani, for membership in the “Advisory Group for the Influenza Preparedness Framework at the World Health Organization” for the period 2022-2024.
The Director-General of the World Health Organization appointed members of the advisory group to serve in their personal capacity as experts for a period of three years. The main objective of the Influenza Preparedness Framework is to improve the exchange of information about influenza viruses, explore their potential for transformation into a global pandemic, and increase access to pandemic-related vaccines and supplies in developing countries.
