Mother of poisoned children says she did not add seasoning to dumplings
A family with four children from the village of Krasnaya Sopka in Krasnoyarsk Krai may have been poisoned by pesticides that were mistakenly added to their food. New details of the case were revealed by the publication Baza.
According to informed sources, during the search of the victims’ home, a large quantity of pesticides and antibiotics for animals were found. They were also in the kitchen where the family had dinner. The products were sent for examination; the version with low-quality chicken and dumplings has not yet been ruled out. The mother later toldas she cooked the food. She asked the children to cook the dumplings, and she only added seasoning to the chicken. It is unknown whether the children added anything.
Children could have added poison to the food
Telegram-the channel “Shot check” adds that the children confused the poisonous substances with spices and added them to the food. Relatives said that the dumplings were cooked by one of the daughters at the request of the mother – a girl I could have gotten it wrong seasoning with poison for flies.
Meanwhile, neighbors said that the mother also brought rat poison from the farm, which resembled a seasoning. The whole family had stomachaches after dinner, but only the father took the pill. Before losing consciousness, he managed to saythat the younger children felt unwell at night. He did not take them to the hospital because he himself was feeling unwell, instead he called his sister. It is specified that the man later burned the packaging from the dumplings. The questioning of the parents continues.
Four children did not survive.
The six-year-old and 11-year-old girls and the 13-year-old boy could not be saved. It was later learned that the fourth child did not survive either. The girl was 12 years old. Their parents were taken to intensive care and regained consciousness on the morning of September 23. Doctors managed to save the 32-year-old woman’s pregnancy. The Investigative Committee reported that the fetus is currently out of danger.
The family bought the dumplings at the Olimp store, which sold the products by weight. The supplier and the owner of the outlet were summoned for questioning. It also turned out that the dumplings that the store purchased from a local entrepreneur did not have the necessary veterinary documentation. The owner of the outlet only completed the paperwork on September 23.
The store clerk gave her version of what happened
The Russian woman admitted that her mother had stored food in the kitchen next to rat poison. The store employee said that the dumplings had been delivered a week ago, but so far no one in the Krasnoyarsk village had complained of feeling unwell.
“There’s a woman there, the house is a mess, and so on. How could this be allowed – food and spices nearby, and fly poison or rat poison nearby?” she asked. The seller also assured that the store observes the shelf life of products, the organization cooperates only with trusted suppliers.
