The pandemic has undermined the theater industry in many countries of the world, but not the imagination of the players from Fallout 76, who organized and staged live the Macbeth by Shakespeare.
In August, a Fallout 76 community rolled up their sleeves and armed with a lot of imagination and commitment they had created a post-apocalyptic version of the famous Globe Theater in London, renamed The Grafton Globe. At the end of the work, among other things with impressive results, the group stated that in the future it would organize theatrical performances of Shakespeare’s plays.
The Theater Company, this is the name chosen by the Fallout 76 theater company, has in fact decided to go big, creating a reduced version of Macbeth, about 40 minutes, which was staged live on Twitch and acted by actors using the characters from Fallout 76. The result? Really special, but certainly very interesting. You can see it for yourself, in the recording of the work in the video below.
In the past the company had also performed in other works, such as Hamlet, A Clockwork Orange and West Side Story, but that of Macbeth is the first high-profile show, complete with live broadcast on Twitch. Just to show the level of care and organization of the event, there was also a backstage area, complete with dressing rooms for the actors to change clothes and review the lines. A real treat.
