As promised, Bethesda released today, May 13, a new update For Fallout 4which points to correct and improve some aspects of the game following the previous “next gen” update, as also reported in the official patch notes.
Therefore, the update brings the Xbox Series As a main element, the new update on May 13th changes the viewing options of the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, adding some possibilities.
In particular, it is a solution that acts on two aspects: the possibility of giving priority to performance or graphic quality and a frame-rate selector, which act in an interconnected manner.
New graphical display options
Substantially, this is the same solution that will be implemented in Starfield with the big May update arriving, which has evidently become a sort of standard for Bethesda, allowing greater malleability in the management of the software to obtain different graphic results.
There is therefore the option that allows you to choose between giving priority to Graphic Quality or Performance, but in addition to this it is also possible to independently select the frame-rate, setting as possible targets the 30, 40 or 60 fps. To select 40, Bethesda points out, you need to have a display that supports 120 Hz.
If you choose the 60 fps target, the developers recommend selecting Performance as a priority, but it is still impossible to maintain a seemingly opposite choice with the Graphics Quality selector, probably resulting in a more unstable frame-rate.
For the rest, the patch fixes various bugs regarding, for example, errors or artifacts that could emerge in some areas, theauto-HDR on Xbox Series
Additionally, some crashes, some Creation Club issues, and some widescreen viewing issues are fixed, as well as various other items you can find at this address in Bethesda’s official notes.
