Noventa di Piave, after the final four women’s championship, experienced another intense weekend as a protagonist with the Italian Under 18 and Under 15 Flight Championships. Five tricolor titles awarded: three Individuals and two Pairs.
The champions of Italy
Mattia Falconieri (athlete of the Young Blue Club) of the Lower Pont-Saint-Martin Valley is the new Italian champion of the Individual Under 18. The player from Aosta defeated his teammate Matteo Golfetto 10-2 in the final. Niccolò Torello of the GS La Boccia Savona won the tricolor competition in the Individual Under 15. Beaten in the final, for 8-7, Diego Verganti of the company La Perosina. The Venetian Martina Bordin della Bocciofila Pederobba is the Italian champion of the Individual Under 18 female. In the final ko, 13-5, Cristina Budai del Buttrio. In the tricolor event in pairs, two pairs of the Asti Pro Valfenera win: the Under 18s Patrick Artusio-Samuele Artusio (beaten in the final 13-5 by Matteo Bardella and Christian Iaboni of Beinettese) and the Under 15s Gianluca Bortoli-Luca Vercelli after beating the Borgonese duo, made up of Matteo Macario and Stefano Versino, in the final 7-2.
Competition with important numbers with 96 athletes involved: 51 Under 18, 42 Under 15 and three Under 12, the latter included in three Under 15 pair formations. For the FIB present, at the weekend, the federal councilors Maurizio Andreoli (head of ‘Youth Sports Activities) and Orietta Calonego. “Noventa di Piave has inaugurated the weekends dedicated to young athletes of the Flight specialty, on which there is great attention because the boys represent the future of our movement – the comment of the federal president Marco Giunio De Sanctis -. The Under 18s will meet in Cussignacco, on July 24th and 25th, for the final eight scudetto; the Under 15s, on the other hand, will take the field again on 7 and 8 August, in Centallo, for the assignment of the Italian team title “. “My compliments go to the new Italian champions – continued De Sanctis – The five Italian titles went to athletes from four different regions: Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont, Veneto and Liguria.
