The Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (FMUSP) reported that it had canceled the multimedia exam held on the 19th of this month for admission to the institution’s medical residency.
According to the Faculty of Medicine, “evidence of fraud” was found in the exam.
“[Estão sendo tomadas] all the appropriate measures for the full investigation of the facts and accountability of those involved”, said FMUSP in a statement.
According to the institution, candidates qualified in the first stage of the test, should normally follow the schedule relating to curricular assessment and inquiry.
If the candidate wants to withdraw by choice, the period from January 3 to 7 will be open to request the withdrawal and refund the registration fee.
Medical residency is the specialization stage that follows the completion of the medical course. In other words, it is a postgraduate program aimed at doctors who have already graduated and want to specialize. It is also possible for the professional to qualify through other postgraduate courses.
