The time to hide is now over for the teams. With today the last day of Formula 1 collective tests before the Bahrain Grand Prix, the first round of the 2022 world championship, which will take place in Sakhir next week, goes on file.
On the last day, Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari F1-75 and Max Verstappen’s Red Bull RB18 stood out. The red of the Monegasque shines under the artificial light of the Arab track as far as the single lap is concerned, but it is the Dutchman who dictates the pace as regards the long runs.
Will it be a fight between these two teams in less than a week? We cannot yet know for sure, since the unknowns are still different, from the petrol load aboard the ten single-seaters on the track to the power released by the respective power units.
The RB18 was presented with heavy modifications in several essential components, such as the bellies where there is a well present a slide behind the anti-intrusion cone, but the important thing is that the Red was a constant without problems of any kind. for a total of six days between Barcelona and Bahrain.
