GP Saudi Arabia, details of the F1 circuit
The Jeddah circuit of the Saudi Arabian GP, which takes place in Counterclockwiseis characterized by a length of 6,174 meters, making it the second longest track after Spa-Francorchamps. The race takes place over the distance of 50 laps.
Present 27 curveswith a maximum slope of 12 degrees in turn 13. It is the fastest street circuit in the Formula 1 championship, with an estimated average speed of 252.8 km/h, second only to Monza. It has three zones for using the Drag Reduction System and underwent changes in 2021 and 2022 to improve safety, including downsizing barriers at certain corners.
The absolute record of the circuit is 1'27″511set by Lewis Hamilton in a Mercedes in qualifying for the 2021 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. In 2023 the Jeddah race was won by Sergio Perez's Red Bullin front of his teammate Max Verstappen and to theFernando Alonso's Aston Martin.
