With a record 23 Grands Prix, the 2022 F1 season will kick off in Bahrain in March and close in Abu Dhabi in November. Two races in Italy: in Imola and Monza
It will be a season full of news in F1, that of 2022. In addition to the revolutionary new single-seaters, in fact, 23 GPs will be raced, a figure never reached in the history of the World Championship. The first appointment is for March 20 when the Circus will head to Bahrain to begin a season full of unknowns. From the calendar, made official today, the GPs of Turkey, Portugal and Qatar disappear (only for 2022, thanks to the World Cup), while the one in Miami arrives for the first time. We also welcome returns for Australia, Japan and Singapore. Good news for the Italian fans who will have two opportunities to see their heroes dart: in Imola on April 24th and in Monza on September 11th. The last race of the year will be in Abu Dhabi on November 20th. Here are all the dates
the words of Domenicali and Todt

On the sidelines of the presentation of the calendar spoke Stefano Domenicali, CEO of F1, and Jean Todt, President of the FIA. The former said: “We are thrilled to announce the new dates, we are preparing to enter a new era of this sport with new regulations and new machines that will create even more exciting races. This season has been fantastic both on the track with great duels and in the stands with more and more fans around the world. We are happy that they are back to enjoying face-to-face competitions. There will be new circuits that will join the historical ones, but the pandemic is still with us so we will be vigilant and we will intervene to protect our entire community if needed ”. Todt echoes him. “This calendar is truly unique and is the result of the great work done in synergy by F1 and Stefano Domenicali with the FIA. We have demonstrated our resilience over the past two years, and our sport continues to grow around the world. I can’t wait to experience the 2022 season ”.
