Robert Shwartzman will also be present at the tests reserved for young drivers which will be staged on the Abu Dhabi track the week following the last round of the championship and which will mark the end of the 2021 Formula 1 season.
The Russian will be at the wheel of the Haas VF-21 and today he went to the team headquarters to make the seat.
For Shwartzman this will not be the first taste of Formula 1. The 2019 Formula 3 champion has already had the opportunity to sit inside the cockpit of the Ferrari SF71H on two occasions and then compete in the tests reserved for young drivers in 2020 at the wheel of the Ferrari SF1000.
Robert, engaged in the second season in Formula 2 always with the Prema team, currently occupies the third position in the standings with 135 points when only the two rounds of Jeddah and Abu Dhabi are missing at the end of the championship.

“I would like to thank the Haas F1 team, Scuderia Ferrari and Ferrari Driver Academy for this great opportunity,” said Shwartzman.
“This will be my first test with Haas and I can’t wait to get to know a new team, the environment and learn as much as possible from them. Having the chance to drive another team’s car is simply incredible and I’m looking forward to working with everyone. “
Welcoming the Russian to the team was Gunther Steiner, Haas team principal: “We can’t wait to see Robert at work at Yas Marina in December. He is a very appreciated boy by Ferrari and has been part of their driver program since 2017 ”.
“His qualities have emerged clearly over the last few seasons, especially in his debut year in Formula 2 when he also challenged our two starters Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin. We are pleased to be able to offer Robert the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car ”.
