F1 Mexico, the race standings
F1 Mexico, the race report
A Sunday of Ordinary Domination: Max Verstappen he takes victory number 51 with his usual authority, thanks to which he reaches Alain Prost in fourth place in the all-time rankings. The three-time world champion doesn’t even have to wait for the first corner, as he burns both Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc at the start, ruining all Ferrari’s defense plans. Having taken first position, the Dutchman gives it up only in the hubbub of the pit stops to fit the hard tyre: as soon as he does so, he goes into metronome mode and greets the company. He finds it again for a few moments during the restart due to Kevin Magnussen’s accident: a formality for the champion, whose restart it is perfect and allows him to defend himself better than Leclerc.
Yes, Leclerc. For the 11th time in a row, the Monegasque fails to convert pole position into victory. Frankly, however, the Monegasque could do very little in an SF-23 with a slower pace not only than Red Bull but also Mercedes.
