Mercedes with George Russell is conducting important correlation work with data from the 100 gallery and the Brackley simulator.
The W13 took to the track this morning with a large rake mounted behind the front wheels, to precisely define the pattern of the wake and the turbulence generated by the moving tires.

Almost all the teams have experimented with aerodynamics proceeding at constant speed on the long finish straight, but the Mercedes showed a peculiarity in the rear, introducing a series of small Pitot tubes on the leading edge of the rear wing which has been instrumented.
The image of Giorgio Piola taken from the press room, it allows us to observe how the Brackley technicians have managed to fix the speed sensors on the main profile: so far the young English driver has completed 33 laps with a time that is nine tenths of a second behind Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari.
