In a 2022 season characterized by various innovations and absolute beginnings, the safety sector on the track is also adapting to these important changes: the most evident proof, among many, is the introduction of a new Medical Car, which will replace the older Mercedes C 63 S AMG Station wagon model. However, even in this case, the German carmaker will maintain its presence with the launch of the new one Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC +which will present tools and innovations to guarantee medical assistance to pilots in the event of an accident.
The most powerful Medical Car ever used can accommodate a maximum of three doctorsamong which the presence of the Doctor Ian Roberts, coordinator of the medical aid of the FIA. Alongside the latter, there will be the presence of one or two local doctors, all coming from a specialized clinic located near the 23 circuits that will host F1 in 2022. At the disposal of the team of rescuers, there will be three tablets and an additional monitor, all useful for monitoring the progress of the race at any time. The most important change, however, will concern the use of details gloves worn by pilots during the race: these, in fact, will be equipped with a sensor at the height of the little fingerwhich will keep under constant I check my vital signs of each competitor. In the event of an emergency, paramedics in the medical car will be able to receive real-time directions, on screens, such as the heart rate and blood oxygen level of the injured person, thus allowing a targeted and timely response.
