McLaren has decided to dedicate the weekend of the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix to celebrate and remember Ayrton Senna in the 30th anniversary of his death.
Last Tuesday the Woking team unveiled the livery with which the MCL38s will be recognizable on the streets of the Principality, while in the last few hours they presented the suits that both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri will wear this weekend.
The racing clothing of the two drivers could only match the color of the two single-seaters. The suits are divided into two distinct parts: the front and the back.

At the front, the upper part is dominated by yellow, the basic color of the British single-seater livery this weekend, while the lower part is dominated by green, the two main colors of the Brazilian flag also in honor of Senna.
The two colors are divided by a descending diagonal white band that separates the suits themselves into two sections. The back, however, is dark blue, taking up the third color of the Brazilian flag and the helmet that made Ayrton Senna famous during his Formula 1 career.
But there’s more, because both Piastri and Norris have presented two special versions of their respective helmets to be used this weekend in Monte-Carlo.

Oscar Piastri, although he is younger (slightly) than Norris, has chosen to remember Senna with a traditional and inconspicuous helmet solution compared to that of his teammate.
I The front design of the Australian’s helmet remains the same as always, but adopts the yellow and green colors, adapting to the livery of the car and suit. The part that changes, however, is the lateral and rear ones. After the classic geometric design, Piastri’s helmet mirrors that of Ayrton Senna, with the two green and blue horizontal bands on a yellow base.
Lando Norris’ helmet is much more complex and particular, although the idea of the design is classic considering the design he wanted to take.

This weekend the winner of the Miami Grand Prix abandoned the concept of his helmet and the original colors to adopt a completely chromed base, therefore iridescent depending on the light and external colours, but which features fantasy designs on it.
Taking a more in-depth look at the British driver’s helmet, it is possible to notice how the colors of these drawings precisely reflect those of Senna’s helmet, therefore yellow in the lower, central and upper part, divided by the two green and blue horizontal lines .
