During the last weekend, which saw the drivers engaged on the Qatar track, Formula 1 shared on their social profiles the images relating to the latest work carried out on the Jeddah circuit which will host the circus in two weeks.
From what we can understand, it seems that work to complete the track in time will continue until the arrival of teams and drivers in Saudi Arabia. While some of the infrastructure around the track is unlikely to be completed in time for the race, the track images suggest that the race will be held regularly.
In recent weeks, doubts have arisen regarding the completion of the track, but those responsible for Formula 1 have been adamant that the Jeddah GP would be held as planned.
At the beginning of last week, Michael Masi personally went to Saudi Arabia to get the latest updates on the work in progress.
Steve Nielsen, Formula 1 sporting director, told Motorsport.com: “This is an ambitious project and it will be a great facility. True, they are in trouble, but they are literally working 24/7 “.

“I’m sure they will make it. We will have everything we need to make the race run safely. I am confident from this point of view “.
Stefano Domenicali also admitted that some elements will not be ready in time for the event.
“The track will be ready, and this is our priority. It will be a truly spectacular event and everyone is excited for the race ”.
